Plonar Dragons

These dragons are water and land dwelling creatures. Their body’s are one big scale, with different colors. Plonar Dragons can be pretty rare. To feed on fish, they sit and wait in the dark depths. When a fish comes along, they open their mouths to omit a vibrant green light from their Tongue, moving it lightly. When the fish gets close enough, they lash out with their long snouts to spear the fish with their 4 canine teeth in the front. When the pray ceases to move, a plonar dragon will use its tongue to bring the fish to the back of its mouth, to chew the fish with its sharp molars before swallowing.

The plonar dragon also eats red and yellow seaweed. It also eats a hard red coral called; Fire coral.
(enter link here)Fire corals have a bright yellow-green and brown skeletal covering and are widely distributed in tropical and subtropical waters. They appear in small brush-like growths on rocks and coral. Divers often mistake fire coral for seaweed, and accidental contact is common. The very small nematocysts on fire corals contain tentacles that protrude from numerous surface pores (similar to Jelly Fish stings). In addition, fire corals have a sharp, calcified external skeleton that can scrape the skin.

Plonars are the only type of known that can eat the fire coral. They have also been known to hide amongst the fire coral when they are being hunted. While out of the water, plonars enjoy to sit in the beach or rocks and sun bathe. They also enjoy to run though the woods, but since they are as big as a one story house, they tend to break branches and small tree’s. Plonar dragons are a rather peaceful species, but if they are threatened or antagonized, they will attack anyone. Plonars are hunted for their light cream colored horns this is because, pieces of the horn can be very beautiful when polished right.
